Here is the final art. I turn it in next week in Texas, so we'll see what my professors say. The assignment was to create a painting from southern California. The setting is The Castle Green Hotel in the 1920's, which is located in Pasadena, CA. When I left for Pasadena last November, my son and I were reading The Mouse and the Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary - which also takes place in a hotel in southern California. I thought it would be fun to mix the two together - I even used a 1920's Indian motorcycle for the mouse. It was a lot of fun. So what's so scary about southern California? Mice on motorcycles. I hope you enjoyed the process.
