I was first introduced to Paul Rogers on our MFA trip to Pasadena, CA. I wasn't familiar with his name, but I suddenly realized that I had seen his work all over the place. Postal stamps, Pixar movies and theatrical posters - just to name a few. I was frustrated with myself that I had not brought anything for him to sign. I considered it one of the few flaws of my MFA experience. Fortunately, a good friend of mine (and incredibly talented illustrator,) Aja Wells made the same trip with Hartford's MFA program two years later and got the signature for me. It's part of my signed children's book collection. A great memento.
